Affordable Housing Webinar

I’m very proud to represent communities that are taking a more active role in building more affordable housing to ensure that all families and residents in the 14 communities in the district have a safe place to live and call home. I’m grateful to municipal staff, elected and appointed officials, community leaders, and volunteers for taking on this challenging task.

To help provide some guidance, I hosted an Affordable Housing Webinar on Tuesday, June 8th from 7:00-8:30pm, with a focus on municipal officials, planning boards members, affordable housing trusts, and interested residents about how to build affordable housing in a community.

Panelists were:

• Emilio Dorcely, Executive Director of Urban Edge, a community development corporation in Boston

• Carolyn Read, Executive Director of the North Central Mass Habitat for Humanity Chapter

• Steve Joncas, Director of Common Ground Developers, which has built truly affordable housing in communities across Metrowest

• Abhidnya Kurve, Policy Associate, Citizens’ Housing and Planning Association (CHAPA)
